The Wayne Knox Memorial Trophy is given each year to the person who enters the largest pumpkin at the AVGVG Glad Gardens Weigh Off   Wayne was an avid pumpkin grower and the Annapolis Valley Giant Vegetable Growers felt that it was important to recognize his important contribution to the organization.

The Annapolis Valley Giant Vegetable Growers had their 1st annual weigh off, held at Glad Gardens in Waterville Nova Scotia. Special thanks go to the Dill family for the use of their scale. This weigh off serves as a warm up to the Windsor weigh off and gives our members an opportunity to showcase the fruits of their labor which may otherwise go unnoticed.  A Sub Gallery of pictures has been added to the Gallery page.
